This play, based on Stephen Knight’s book ‘The Final Solution’, gave author Brian Clemens the opportunity to take the audience on a fantastic journey in a fast-moving dramatisation of one of the most plausible of Ripper theories, and with a mixture of drama, humour and fear he guides us towards Stephen Knight’s possible solution. As Holmes and Watson become embroiled in the grisly Whitechapel murders of 1888 we remember the names of his victims: Martha Tabram, Mary Ann Nicholls, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Beddows and Marie Jeanette Kelly. All are assured of a place in history, but the Ripper’s name remains in the shadows, from which he came.
