Noverre Gallery, Hobart Room, Café/Bar
and Gallery Cabinets - Friday 1st June to
Monday 27th August. Entry free.
The Assembly House is celebrating the
Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a truly
British art exhibition. Artists will be
interpreting the exhibition’s title ‘Queen
and Country’ in their own quirky way,
presenting a range of work from paintings
of the wild Norfolk coast to an amusing
look at man’s best friend (including Corgis,
of course!). Come and see the exciting
selection on view!
The Art of Peace •
25th Jun to 1st Jul
This diverse collection of sculpture, ceramics, painting and photography celebrates the centenary of the visit to the UK of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá - a man who carried a profound message for peace and world unity.
The show presents work by sculptor, Matthew Frere-Smith; painters Nigel Colebrook, Andrew Wilkinson, Nigel Moody and Richard Morgan; potter Claude Frere-Smith; photographer and film-maker Tom Fox and painter and illustrator Julie Mann. Work by painter and photographer Ivor Hampton-Sharp, well known for his pictures of John Lennon, will also be shown.
