The Grand Hall at the Assembly House Norwich

The Grand Hall

In the 19th Century, the ‘House of Assemblies’ was where local gentry had to be seen, drinking and dancing beneath the grand crystal chandelier.  A Trafalgar ball was held here in 1805 to commemorate Norfolk’s favourite son Admiral Nelson in his victory in that famous battle that claimed his life.

The impressive Georgian features include a dominating fireplace, furniture and paintings of local scenes, making this room ideal for picturesque receptions and parties.

The Grand Hall

Our Magnificent Entrance Hall provides a unique and splendid welcome to The Assembly House, ideal for use as a drinks reception or for that special wedding photograph in front of the spectacular fireplace.
