Silver Jewellery Making Crafternoon Tea Workshop: Wrap Around Ring
Sun 12th Jul 2020 - 2pm
Please note that this event has been postponed due to the current Covid-19 situation.
Norfolk jeweller Claire Howard is returning to The Assembly House with a brand new selection of silver workshops! In this class, she will help you to make a stunning wrap-around ring.
You will measure your finger and, using a variety of hammers and jewellery-making tools, you will shape and texture your basic ring shank. After deciding which kind of ring you would like to make, you will shape your silver again and, if you would like, can add a Swarovski-style pearl or semi-precious gemstone bead from a selection and add it, using thinner silver wire. You will then polish your ring.
All materials and tools are provided in addition to a supportive environment to help you make your own beautiful ring!
This workshop is sponsored by The Assembly House Trust, and costs £45 including a hot drink and a scone of your choice (please let us know any dietary requirements in advance) which you will eat before your class begins on a communal table so you can chat with other students.
Places are limited to 12 and the class will last approximately two hours. Booking is essential.
