The Christmas Pudding Parade at The Assembly House

A decadent dinner, a cavalcade of Christmassy Puddings, a night to Remember!

Step into a world of festive splendour and culinary excess at our Christmas Pudding Parade—a glittering seasonal spectacular where the roast is golden, the company merry, and the puddings? Oh, the puddings! Watch as they are paraded straight to your plate.

Each pudding is introduced with grandeur by our esteemed Pudding Master, David Clayton, ensuring they receive the pomp and ceremony they deserve as they make their way into the Music Room.

In our updated format, after the ceremonial parade, each table will be presented with its own selection of puddings: no buffet, no waiting, no queuing!

At The Assembly House, we believe Christmas should be bold, beautiful, and utterly delicious, and this event is the most indulgent way to warm up for the Big Day. Your evening starts with a warming cup of parsnip soup, gently sweetened with honey and fragranced with sage. A perfect whisper of winter to awaken your appetite.

Main courses:

Roast Norfolk Turkey and Honey-Baked Gammon
With sage, apricot, sausage meat and oat stuffing, pigs in blankets, and cranberry sauce.

Vegetarian Option:
Squash, Parsnip and Chestnut Wellington, served with a rich tomato, thyme, and lentil gravy.

All served with:
• Spiced red cabbage
• Crispy roast potatoes
• Roasted carrots and parsnips
• Brussels sprouts with chestnut granola

And then…the main event! The Pudding Parade!

Once your plate is clear, prepare yourself: the lights dim and the parade begins. A procession of perfect puddings will glide through the room and arrive directly at your table - dessert theatre delivered with flourish.

Feast on as many as you like, and yes, you really can try them all.

The Parade Includes:

• Queen Victoria’s recipe Christmas pudding with brandy custard
• Spiced winter crumble
• Jam sponge with jam sauce
• Baileys cream profiteroles with hot chocolate and caramel sauces
• Steamed syrup sponge
• Mincemeat and almond tart
• Marmalade bread and butter pudding
• Boxing Day trifle
• Red wine–poached pears with cinnamon, orange and rum

☕ To Finish:

A cup of coffee, and a slice of Italian chocolate nut Christmas cake to take home for later - or devour before you leave, we won’t tell.

• Guests will be seated at communal tables to spark festive cheer. Come as a group or solo, we guarantee you’ll leave full of joy and maybe a new friend or two.

• Please note: Due to the service style and the nature of the dishes, we are unable to offer vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free or nut-free options at this event. Our kitchen handles allergens and while every care is taken, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.

• From January 1, 2025, Norfolk Passport discounts are no longer applicable for any Assembly House events.
