Mr and Mrs Pollard

Room: Music Room
Theme:

Claire and Adam certainly knew how to celebrate in style this weekend...from the buzz coming from family and friends helping with finishing touches on Friday to the spontaneous lyrical outbursts during the wedding breakfast, there was never a dull moment.

Adam and the groomsmen arrived first with guests following closely behind. There was an atmosphere of anticipation as they eagerly waited to take their seats in the beautiful Music Room for the ceremony. Meanwhile, Claire was able to make the most of the sunshine for some photographs in her bridal car outside the House before her big moment.

Champagne was flowing and canapés went down a treat while the guests soaked up the sunshine and enjoyed some alfresco music from the string quartet outside. Claire and Adam had a preview of the Ballroom before their guests took their seats and it was obvious that all their hard work in planning the decorations had paid off.
You could feel the love in the room as Claire and her friends started an impromptu sing-a-long and guests were up on their feet dancing and laughing along with them.

The guests enjoyed delicious starters followed by a choice of rosemary and thyme roasted chicken or a pan-seared sea bass fillet and a trio of our favourite House desserts to finish. They then sat back and relaxed with a glass of Champagne to toast the well-crafted speeches.

The wedding party then headed back down to the Grand Hall for tea and coffee and a few more drinks while the Ballroom was prepared for the evening. The dancefloor was cleared, the band were ready, and it was time for the party to get into full swing.

The dance floor filled for Claire and Adam’s first dance and didn’t empty for the rest of the evening. The Frozen Raspberries were the evening entertainment and didn’t disappoint with their repertoire. The evening came to a close and guests said their goodbyes to Claire and Adam and it was clear that the day had been enjoyed by all.

Breakfast was enjoyed on Sunday morning by Claire, Adam and their family and friends who'd spent the evening in our luxury bedrooms at the House. Everyone was chatting about the day and sharing their favourite moments, although there were a few less musical outbreaks over this meal!

They packed up their belongings and headed to spend their first day as newly-weds in the sunshine before getting ready for their honeymoon in South Africa: we’re  not jealous at all!

It’s safe to say the day was a success, enjoyed by all and full of love. We wish the new Mr and Mrs Pollard all the best for their lives together.

Our best bits:

Jamie: It has to be the singing during the meal, everyone was having so much fun and I couldn’t stop singing ‘Going To The Chapel’ for the rest of the day.

Lydia: The warmth between the two families and how much everybody wanted Claire and Adam to have the best day. The singing was a bonus too!
