Autumn Whimsy Afternoon Tea
7 September to 16 October, then returning for one final autumn flourish from 1 to 13 November
There is a particular kind of magic that arrives with autumn.
The light turns golden, the leaves begin to blush, the hedgerows give up their last blackberries and the orchards fill with apples. The evenings draw in, the air becomes crisp and suddenly a warm jumper and a very good cup of tea seem like exactly the right things to have planned.
Our Autumn Whimsy Afternoon Tea is our celebration of that glorious turning of the seasons, bringing together the cosy flavours, colours and little wonders of autumn with a generous helping of Assembly House whimsy.
Expect the taste of the orchard, the hedgerow and the forest floor, with Bramley apples, blackberries, cinnamon, buttery crumble and forest mushrooms appearing alongside our much-loved Afternoon Tea favourites.
It is a tea for that delicious moment when summer begins to fade and everything seems to become just a little more beautiful.
So come inside, settle into one of our beautiful Georgian dining rooms, wrap yourself in the warmth of The Assembly House and let us serve you a little taste of autumn, with plenty of whimsy on the side.
