Room Six sits proudly on the first floor of our historic East Wing and does not do things by halves. Quirky, spacious and bathed in glorious natural light from triple aspect leaded windows, this is one of our Grand Rooms and it knows it.

It overlooks our courtyard and out towards Norwich, with a marble bathroom that feels deliciously indulgent and enough space to spread out properly. There is a king size four poster bed, a floral velvet sofa, a writing desk and a charming collection of Staffordshire dogs, affectionately known as Wally Dugs.

Come as a couple and revel in the space. Or bring the family and make it your own private wing!

Please note there is a small step between the bedroom and the bathroom.

• A spectacular 6ft x 6ft 6in king size four poster bed with handcrafted Vispring mattress and luxurious cotton bedding

• Space for up to two additional z beds, allowing the room to sleep up to five or six guests, supplement applies

Good to know before you arrive

• First floor location. There is a flight of stairs to reach Room Six and no lift in the East Wing
• After checking in at reception, there is a short one minute walk outside to reach this accommodation area. If you arrive before 5pm, a team member will show you to your room
• Check in from 3pm. Arriving after 5pm? Let us know and we will explain our simple lock box system
• Check out at 11am. Late check out may be available for a small supplement
• Additional guests are charged at £50 per adult and £25 per child per night, including breakfast and extras like bedding and towels
• The Assembly House closes at 5pm unless open for an evening event. There is no communal bar or lounge for overnight guests
• Our restaurant is not open in the evenings other than for functions
• Parking is not included. Please see our Accessibility page for parking and public transport information. If you are able to find a space in the car park to the rear of The Assembly House, we can offer a £10 overnight ticket to cover your stay, please speak to the reception team when you book in before 5pm
